Touchstone led design to replace an end-of-life N+1 UPS system with a 1.5MW 2N redundant system, while also reconfiguring cooling power to reduce single-point failure risk.  Touchstone sourced and managed the architect and mechanical and structural engineering teams.  Innovative design features include the ability to load test the UPS and batteries without load banks, lithium-ion batteries, UPS room air-side economizing cooling, and switchgear real time hot-spot monitoring.  The data center includes 22,000 Sq. Ft. of access floor space.  An accelerated schedule was driven by imminent failure concerns for the existing single-bus UPS system.
